Excellent fully intact urn, biconical shape with one handle and a very interesting lid reserved only for men, with its typical crest and a red-brownish impasto. Those for women were topped with a bowl shape. The term impasto indicates the creation of an unpurified clay vase by hand rather than by wheel. Several incisions signs are arranged on different registers, among them the swastika cross which was a typical Indo-European symbol.  The whole piece is well preserved. The lower section of the urn is without restoration. Some old restorations on the lid. The entirety of this piece remains exceptional.
Urns were used during funeral rituals, although the fact that they only have one handle does not exclude the possibility of domestic use as well. The colour of the earth and the incised decor are typical to the Tarquinia region, situated in the North of Lazio. It was customary to bury urns in wells and cover them with stones.
