Sarcophagus panel in wood, painted with white, blue, red and black. The mummy is standing upright in a chapel and wearing a false beard and a three part wig. Rare pegged mounting technique. A perfect state of preservation. The colours are still vivid and the drawings remain perfectly legible.
Third transitional period between the New Kingdom and the Late Period. Egypt was divided. Dominated in the Nile Delta and Middle Egypt by Libyan dynasties, while Upper Egypt was initially dominated by the priests of Amun and then by the Kingdom of Napata.
