Description :
A salt-glazed bellarmine 'Bartmann' jug with ribbed mouth, showing a tubular neck with stylised male face to the front, luxuriant beard extending to the shoulder; circumferential band to the equator with palmettes above and below; six roundels with profile busts; band of repeated text 'DRINCK: VID: EST: GODES: NIT: VERGEST' (drink and eat as you wish, do not forget God) with retrograde 'S' characters. Handle absent otherwise fine condition overall.
